APPLICATION OF TNS PIPES IN CONSTRUCTION OF BRIDGE INDUSTRY
Double-wall polyethylene pipes produced by the company have different uses. One of them is the use of pipe as bridges, gates and canals. These polyethylene pipes are installed beneath highways, and in main roads and subways and also under the train tracks. These pipes have high strength against static and dynamic loads. They can be used with full confidence in the bridge industry. Polyethylene pipes are installed in a minimum of time and the cost of the project implementation is greatly reduced. In other words, it can be said that the very fast implementation of these bridges in the road construction industry is their most important advantage. In terms of time, drastically reduce the execution and construction compared to concrete bridges.
The company’s experts perform engineering calculations using standards. They provide engineered products suitable for the project conditions. The diameter of polyethylene pipes provided for bridges up to 4000 mm is possible. These pipes can be used as single or multi-opening.
In general, the specifications of bridges can be considered as follows:
- Bridge opening diameter: from 300 mm to 4000 mm
- Bridge length: no limitation
- The minimum distance proposed to the road level is 1 meter, but this distance can be reduced by necessary measurements.
- Possibility of using polyethylene sheet on the sides of the bridge to prevent erosion, and accumulation of water on the soil
- Traffic load up to 60 tons for road or more for bridges under railway lines
The company has so far offered more than 3000 meters of polyethylene pipes. The pipes have been used in various projects in the cities of Tabriz, Zanjan, Azarshahr, Kaleybar, Marand and Ahar. The diameter of these pipes that are used in road construction is 600, 800 and 1000 mm. These sizes are provided according to the needs of the project. Basic studies are currently underway to use polyethylene pipes as bridges under the rails. These studies are carried out in collaboration with “Iran University of Science and Technology” and “Tadbir Novin Sazan Company”.
